Dutch grid congestion, kept on the record
The Dutch grid operators publish a capacity map once a month and each new version overwrites the last. De Wachtrij checks it every morning and keeps every version, timestamped. Today 15.136 requests and 8.163 MW are waiting for offtake capacity across the Netherlands.

What this is
The Netherlands has the most congested electricity grid in Europe. Businesses wait years for a connection or for permission to feed power back. The grid operators jointly publish a capacity map showing, per postcode, whether there is room, and per supply area how much capacity is queued and when they expect to resolve it. That map is replaced on the first Friday of every month, and no one keeps the previous versions.
De Wachtrij checks the source every morning, keeps each version with a SHA-256 chain and RFC 3161 timestamps from three independent authorities, and records what changed: 1 version(s) kept since 19 september 2026, latest reading 2 oktober 2026.
Questions only this archive can answer
- When did a given area change colour, and what did the operator say before that? See veranderingen.
- Do the operators meet the resolution years they publish? See beloftes. The first score is due in January 2027.
- How much is queued nationally, per operator and per province? See wachtrij.
